Back in the 60’s, homes had few backsplash choices. Usually they just came with a 4″ laminate border to match the countertop, and it was considered “good-to-go.”
These days, customers have a myriad of choices – from keeping it simple by choosing the same material as the countertop to making a statement with a custom-designed tile mosaic, or even not installing one at all.
We are currently making over the kitchen of a fantastic 1960’s house and are excited to be working with beautiful recycled glass tiles made by Bedrock Industries. Although these tiles are a little more expensive than if our clients used non-recycled tiles, the impact they make in the design of the space and for the environment is tremendous.
