One of our favorite events of the entire year is happening this month – The NW Green Home Tour is April 26, from 11am-5pm!

As site hosts (at two sites this year!), sponsors, and with Laura on the planning committee, we’ve been eating, drinking and sleeping everything Green Home Tour for the past several months. From getting our own home ready to working on social media for the tour and searching for Tour Day volunteers (more volunteers are still needed – sign up here.)

More than 30 homes and 12 sustainability sites will be featured on the tour, offering visitors a chance to see green and sustainable home features in-action, talk to specialists and homeowners, and gather inspiration.

Of course, we hope you will work our sites into your tour schedule:

Mighty Efficient Remodel in West Seattle
3108 SW Webster Street, Seattle WA 98126

Our own house in West Seattle is back on the NW Green Home Tour for 2014! We’ve completed our guest bathroom remodel, had a cistern installed outside and have made a plethora of upgrades to our heating, hot water and other energy systems…in addition to the whole house upgrades we’ve made in our progressive remodel. Professional representatives will be on-site to answer questions, including from Green Depot (finishes and materials), Artisan Electric (solar installation), EarthSystemsNW (cisterns), Habitat Audits (energy auditing), NW Natural Lighting (solatubes), and Ducoterra (radiant ceiling heat manufacturer).

Broadview Kitchen Remodel
220 NW 122nd Street, Seattle WA 98177

This gorgeous new kitchen was the perfect fit for this progressive family with a classic 1960’s home. A more open design, healthy materials, and beautiful finishes gel together into one fantastic remodel! See for yourself and meet professionals from Entero Design (interior design), 4Evergreen Countertops (countertop solutions), Artisan Electric (solar installers) and Silicon Energy Solar Panel Manufacturers (local solar panel manufacturers).
