This spring, Mighty House Construction has found ourselves the “Contractor to Pregnant Families,” and we couldn’t be more overjoyed.
Helping families plan for growth is a big responsibility and a lot of fun. We have done everything from addressing safety concerns with old, dangerous staircases and aesbestos popcorn ceilings to massaging spaces to accommodate the new addition – both baby and all of the guests and helpers! We are honored to be a part of this exciting time for our clients.
Planning for family growth is near and dear to our hearts. When we found out Laura was pregnant with twins in 2006, we knew our 700sf bungalow just wasn’t going to fit our needs. There was no way to economically expand up or out, so we had to find a new home within a tight budget. We found an outdated house that had the right bones to allow for upgrades, and we took that on with a vengance, focusing on open, multi-use spaces, toxin-free natural finishes and energy-efficient systems.
Whether the project is specifically designed to make space for baby, or is just a part of the “nesting” process (like our clients who remodeled an outdated bathroom or another client who is removing an entire “Mother-in-law” kitchen that “came with the house”) we are honored to be there to help make the homes more healthy, sustainable, and beautiful at the same time!
