Mark your calendars! The NW Green Home Tour is April 26, 11am-5pm, and it’s going to be the best year yet! With over 30 homes and 12 sustainability stops on the tour, the opportunities to learn and be inspired are limitless!
Mighty House Construction will be hosting two homes on the tour – both featuring beautiful and earth-friendly upgrades that will inspire and provide information on some of the greatest products now available to homeowners.
Mighty Efficient Remodel in West Seattle
3108 SW Webster Street, 98126
Yes, you guessed it! We put our own house in West Seattle back on the Tour for 2014! With the numerous energy upgrades and the additional remodeling we’ve done, we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to showcase the simple and radical changes we made to our heating, hot water and other energy systems. Professionals from Artisan Electric (solar), Habitat Energy Audits (energy audits), NW Natural Lighting (solatube), and Ducoterra (radiant heat panels) will be on-site to answer technical questions.
Broadview Kitchen Remodel
220 NW 122nd Street, 98177
Take one 1960’s house and add (shaken, not stirred): a progressive family with a strong need for an updated kitchen, a designer with great sensibilities without outrageous costs, a contractor with expertise to build the designer’s ideas and access to fabulous, local, environmentally friendly materials and what do you get? A fabulous, useful, healthy new kitchen and more! See for yourself and meet professionals from Entero Design, 4Evergreen Countertops, Artisan Electric and Silicon Energy (solar panel manufacturers).
The tour is an amazing opportunity for the public to learn about green and sustainable building options, see them in use, talk to homeowners and builders, and get ideas for making the most of a home’s space.
